professional interior designers and I think it's quite phenemenal myself.
I had a similar type of arrangement binder about 25 years ago that only gave you one style of sofa and about 3-4 styles of chairs. The drawings were more like "block formations",
rather than artistically rendered to display as a "drawing". The adhesived backed plastic was clear, so you really could overlap drawings at all. It was designed to be used on
paper, and as such the drawings were not reuable which made it more costly and a nuisance to reorder more pages, especially when one might run out of just one item and
then have to order an entire page just to get duplicates of the more popularly used items.
However, is this particular "kit", there are over 1700 "professionally drawn" illustrations of furniture, accessories and architectural elements all ready to use instantly. The system
displays every piece of furniture and accessory and architectural element in 1/4" scale, along with a light blue grid, so you can place the furniture on the grid (which is clear) and
even place a blueprint underneath as a guide. The adhesive-backed furniture "templates" are fixed on to the clear plastic so they can be removed and used over and over again.
I love that!
You'll begin by working directly on the grid with the overlay folded back. First you would position the architectural decals from one of the pages
in the binder or simply draw them in with the special marker you will receive. When the architecture of the room is in place, you merely choose the appropriate furnishings and
place them on the clear overlay in the position you desire. Each individual decal shows the furniture size and replacement number so that when you are done you can easily
return the decal to it's proper place and page.
Working on the clear overlay (with the grid lines showing behind), you can easily slip a sheet of colored paper, a paint sample you're
using or one of the flooring patterns which comes included under the overlay to give a more detailed drawing. Place the flooring color or pattern behind just one section, or
the entire layout. There are even area rug decals you can select from to add to the drawing. When you do this you'll be able to add instant color and pizzazz to your black
and white drawings.
If you have a 1/4" scale blueprint or construction drawing of the floor plan, you may slip it between the grid and the overlay.
Press down firmly, securely locking the drawin gin place. Then use the drawing as your background and position the furniture drawings/decals on the overlay with the
blueprint showing underneath. With this approach, you don't need to draw or use the architectural decals to create the basic room as it will already be done for you.
Regardless of how you do it, the finished layout can now be photocopied. If there are any blemishes, you merely "white-out" the copy and use it as your new original.
When you make another copy, the blemishes will be gone and you'll have a clean, professionally looking layout to colorize if you wish.
While great care has been made to draw the furniture as close to 1/4" scale as possible, it is always prudent to double-check all measurements before making a final
copy or presenting it to anyone for approval.

A GREAT VARIETY OF STYLES |
As you can see above, the furniture selections are not just one style and are offered in (usually) several standard sizes. There are several styles from which to choose, giving you all the flexibility and variety you could hope to have.
You won't find any system any where that gives you so much variety. The furniture elements are hand-drawn and printed onto static-cling vinyl decals. You'll find the scale of the
drawings will match perfectly with the grid and perfectly with your architectural blueprints. The pages on sofas include multiple sofa styles and sizes, chaises, chairs, pillows, modulars,
loveseats, and even separate arms for seating, ottomans, benches.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN YOUR SYSTEM |
- Twelve pages of illustrations of furniture, accessories and architectural elements drawn in plan-view in 1/4" scale. The drawings are printed onto reusuable decals
and are used to show architectural elements and furniture placement in a room. At the bottom of each drawing are its dimensions. Also printed by each drawing is a number insde
a circle; this indicates the page that the drawing will be returned to when finished.
- Paper pages located before each decal page are reference pages. They show where to replace the decals on the following pages.
- Four pages of flooring patterns in 1/4" scale, printed onto clear plastic. These are found in the back of the binder.
- Index tabs divide illustrations into categories.
- An 11" x 17" Grid/Layout Board with a 1/4" scale grid printed on both sides to double your work surface. The grid is printed in a non-reproductive
blue, thereby disappearing when you make a photocopy of your layout. Attached to the grid is a sheet of static-cling vinyl.
- A wet-erase marker pen that will easily draw onto the grid and the static-cling overlay.
- A custom, 1/4" scale/metric ruler in the front of the binder so you can measure correctly and easily.

How easy is that? You can create a layout for more than one room at a time because the grid is large enough to handle
2 or 3 rooms side by side. Use the flip side for more rooms. Best of all, all of the furniture decals are reusable so there's no waste. Keep everything in the study binder so

Most furniture comes in standard sizes which takes much of the guess work out of choosing the size that matches your own furniture. I also like the fact that I'm not stuck
using the same style of furniture over and over again. As a professional redesigner, it's important to be able to replicate a layout as close as possible to the actual furniture
my client has. Up until now I've been able to size furniture using a software program, but the choices of furniture is very limited and only comes in one style - just one. This is
